As a Korean, what a stupid opinion to have. Why gatekeep the discussion of Korean food because you consider them not experienced enough? Why tell people to shut up about Korean food because they don’t know everything? Absolutely unnecessary and bizarre.
What is the context? If it’s someone who pretends to be knowledgeable about Korean food without knowing what tang is, then I guess that makes sense. Otherwise, this guy is a gatekeeping pretentious idiot. Let everyone try and discuss and enjoy Korean food and let them engage no matter how little they know already.
